The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) can investigate businesses that mislead consumers about their consumer guarantee rights.
The ACCC does not:
- resolve individual consumer guarantees disputes
- give legal advice on consumer entitlements or specific business situations.

Scams are everywhere and cost Australians billions of dollars each year.
Reporting scams can stop scammers and warn the community.
The National Anti-Scam Centre leads Scamwatch to collect scam reports and take down scam websites and social media and search result ads.
The ACCC runs the National Anti-Scam Centre. It brings together experts from government, law enforcement and the private sector to disrupt scams before they reach consumers.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) can investigate misconduct by financial system companies, organisations and professionals.
ASIC does not:
- resolve financial services or advice complaints
- intervene in financial services or advice disputes

- act to get your money back.
